Zoe Ny and Cole Ritter's Midwestern Road Show - Night 1

Described as “a quiet yet depthless power, and a timeless kind soul,” the Michigan-born, Nashville-based artist Zoe Ny alchemises soul and folk/rock into “Soft-Goth Americana.”

Early Days

Growing up in the midwestern woods, Ny started writing poetry and singing as a young girl. She would play on street corners and at festivals in the Detroit area, eventually making her way to “20 Front Street,” an independent listening room in Lake Orion. At the venue, she opened for touring Americana artists Liz Longley, Clem Snide, Reina Del Cid, Chris Trapper, and Matt Brown before headlining multiple sold-out shows there herself.

The Journey

Zoe Ny went on to study Songwriting at Berklee College of Music on “The World Tour Scholarship” and “The Berklee Grant.” She made her way to Nashville in 2022, performing at various independent venues such as “The 5 Spot,” “The Underdog,” and “The End.” Her cinematic, western single “Highway,” produced by Steve Saputo and Bryan Pope, amassed over 26,000 streams within the first few months of its release.

Now

Since then, Zoe Ny has been recording music at Peptalk Studio, run by producer Micah Tawlks. Their first two singles, “What it’s All About” and “The Middle of The West,” are out now on all digital platforms.

Since he first picked up the fiddle at the age of four, Nashville native Cole Ritter has spent the last two decades honing his live performance.

Currently averaging around 150 live shows every year and consistently selling out 50- 100 cap rooms throughout Tennessee, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas and Indiana, Cole is finally ready to show the world what he’s been working on at a higher level.

Blending the tried and true Nashville staples of upright bass, pedal steel guitar, and dreamy, twangy reverb-drenched electric guitar with a modern psychedelic twist, Cole’s music has the warm familiarity of a Tennessee dive bar with the thought-provoking. His music has been described as spacey, psychedelic, and slightly trippy, while always still firmly holding on to the classic “Nashville sound”.

Just a few years after winning Belmont University’s 2020 country showcase, Cole has already shared the stage with artists such as Sierra Ferrell at her sold out show at The Ryman Auditorium, as well as Ricky Scaggs, The Band Perry, American Authors, the Brothers Comatose, and is fresh off his Grand Ole’ Opry debut performing with The War and Treaty.

Cole was also featured on Season 20 of American Idol.

In 2025, Cole Ritter signed with Nashville label MAD Records, and is gearing up for his debut EP release and the launch of his solo project.
